Garden Ornaments
Landscaping on your property is a great way to not only increase the value of your property but also to increase the level of relaxation in your life. A beautiful front or backyard can be like your own private getaway. Comfortable patio furniture and plants can make you feel grand, but if you add garden ornaments into the mix you can feel like royalty!
Garden ornaments are trinkets that you can add to your landscape to give it a little more class. They include things like statues and fountains, large stone planters and garden vases, birdfeeders, gazeboes, lamps and lights, columns and pillars. A garden ornament can take a so-so yard and turn it into something to be envied.
Some garden ornaments are simply there to be seen while others serve a dual purpose. For instance, large stone planters can be pieces of artwork, but they also hold plants. There are also many statues with built in lights to illuminate your yard in the evening. A gazebo is a beautiful setting which is also great for entertaining guests or for sitting alone with a book. Fountains can be wonderful as well because they appeal not only to the sense of sight, but the sense of sound as well. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting in a garden with the sweet sound of water flowing in a fountain.
If you are interested in adding garden ornaments to your landscape just be sure not to go overboard. It’s fine to have a lion statue on each side of your front entrance, but it’s not fine to have three more lions next to your driveway, a replica of the David on your front lawn and a fountain next to the garage. Too many garden ornaments are tacky so be tasteful! One or two garden ornaments are enough.
However, if you are tasteful then garden ornaments can turn your yard into an oasis!
