Two More Sentenced for House Flipping Scam

Another house flipping scam. At least these two were busted.

I guess Jason Morrison, 35, and Marcus Rosenberger, 35, from Texas were claiming to be helping homeowners in foreclosure by getting them to sell their homes to these two saying they would pay off the debt or something and they could still have their houses.

Well as it turns out they took the money and ran... never paid anything!

The homeowners ended up evicted.

Jason Heath Morrison of Midland was sentenced to 7 years in federal prison, and Marcus Jacob Rosenberger of Odessa was sentenced to more than 2 years behind bars. They also have to pay more than $300,000 in restitution to the people they ripped off.

Police say that Morrison, 35, and Rosenberger, 35, convinced people to sell their homes -- which were in foreclosure -- over to them.

Morrison and Rosenberger told homeowners said the homes would be safe. As it turns out, the two pocketed the money and never paid off the debt -- so those homeowners were evicted.
