Default Time To Winterize

Now is the time to start getting ready for the winter months ahead. We have already started buying weather stripping to put around our doors and the windows, along with plastic that will be used to cover the older windows that tend to leak cold air.

It is also a good idea to check air filters in your homes furnance, and replace them if needed. You can also open up your house up now and turn on your furnance for a short time so that when the time comes to turn it on and keep it on there wont be that funny smell.

It is also a good idea right now to pull out the electric space heaters and kerosene heaters to check them, and make sure that they are working properly.

Stock up on things like canned goods, rock salt, candles and things so that in case there is an emergency you will be without worry.

Winter time is the worst possible time to end up losing your power or something, so being prepared ahead of time will save you alot of headache.

In my area it seems that every winter the power here will end up going out for a couple of days, which makes things very hard. Which is why we prepare ourselves as best as possible so that when it does happen we can go on with out any problems.

Don't you dare say it! Take back those words, rofl! I don't even want to think about that "W" word for quite sometime!

All kidding aside, you are quite right. Summer will be over before we know it and we do need to start preparing for the cold winter chill!

Putting these chores off won't make the winter stay away, it will come like it or not so be prepared!

LOL, I am sorry for saying that horrible "W" word, but it is comming and it is really better to be prepared than to find yourself in a bad situation when its practically to late.

I saw the title of this thread and was ready to cry!! lol....afraid to look inside and see that someone had a "snow storm" already! WIth the freaky weather patterns we have been having i would not of been to surprised, scared but not surprised. lol

If i could have one thing, that i could have installed before winter comes, would be a "heated driveway"!! YEAH , go ahead, snow...i don't care, don't have to shovel! lolllllllllllllll

Happy Happy summer days!
