Default Superman to the Foreclosure Rescue

This is such a great story!!!

A family was actually packing up their belongings because the bank had started foreclosure proceedings on their house when they found an old box in the basement with odds and ends in it.

As they were going through the box they found "Action Comics No. 1," which is actually the first comic book to introduce Superman!

They struck gold with it because it's actually worth at the very least $250,000!

Two copies of it recently sold. One for one mil and the other for one and a half mil!

The comic book is to be auctioned off.

Quote:
The house had been in the family's possession since the 1950s, which is probably when the wife's father stashed the issue in a box with some other, mere mortal titles.

They can save their house or buy a brand new one if they want!!!!

I just love to see something good in the news and this is sure something great for these people.

For that comic book to bring them that much money is nothing short of miraculous and couldnt have come along at a better time.

Hopefully they will be able to find a buyer quickly and be able to save their home and put the rest away in a savings account to keep them going for a while.

One thing about a windfall of this kind, pay off your bills and save the rest for hard times later on as opposed to going out and just spending it because you have it.

I am very happy for this family. And this makes you want to go search every nook and cranny in your home hoping you come across something of equal value.

I'm with you guys on this one, nice to see some good news for a change in a market where things sure are a mess.

Lets chaulk one up in the win colum for the hoarders out there.lol.

Amazing there are comic books and even moderately priced new cars that are bringing more money than houses these days. Still trying to figure that one out.

What really bugs me is the fact that there are many new cars out there that are priced higher than the average home.

On what planet do you have to pay $60,000 for a normal vehicle. I always thought that prices like those went on mercedes or you know the rich persons car. What the heck is going on here?
