Default Should I Buy Window Blinds or Curtains?

When it comes to dressing up your windows, you have all kinds of choices. With having such a wide selection of styles and designs to choose from is great, it can also be confusing.

Tips to help you pick from blinds or curtains.

1.Bedrooms benefit from the use of blinds.

2.Health condition of the residents with the type of window treatments that are to be used in a room, some window coverings need to be discounted immediately due to allergies and respiratory issues.

3.Obviously you want the blinds or curtains to complement what you already have going on in the room.

4.If you want minimal amount of dressing for a window, but still want it to be functional, just blinds would be for you.

I agree that window blinds are great in a bedroom because you need a dark room in order to get a good nights sleep.

You can either choose from regular window blinds or room darkening window blinds. The room darkening blinds allow less light to enter the room, thereby keeping the light in the room to a bare minimum.

Dusting the blinds often can help prevent allergic reactions to the dust in a room where the person has health issues, especially breathing problems.

For the bedrooms you could go with the black out drapes if you don't like window blinds. You can find them in every color and they really do "black out" the room.

I think it all comes down to personal preference. I prefer curtains or drapes to blinds but thats just me.

I am looking into buying windows that have the blind inside of two panes of glass. This is very healthy and easily kept clean, and free of dust and stuff.

This way you can go with any type of curtain or covering that you like. You can even go with out any curtains at all this way.I gives the room a very interesting and open look and feel.

I went into a home that was for sale and saw the windows with the blinds built in them and I though that it looked great.I can not wait until I can afford to replace my windows with them.

If you want to know my choice between Blinds or Curtain , I will surely buy Blinds keeping in mind it's long term benefit. Curtains are difficult to wash and also not very effective in keeping out sunlight and dust particles from the room.

I prefer both, blinds and curtains for bedrooms...the curtains dress the room and the blinds help keep out the sunlight and the heat during the summer.

For our larger windows and sliding doors, we use the virtical blinds without the pull strings.
We found out after a few years, those pull string blinds can be a pain and they eventually stop working.
It's best to use blinds that have the single stick that pushes, pulls, opens and closes them.

If I had to choose I would choose blinds, because you can make a decorative curtain or drape with sheets and other items that are already ariound your home more than likely. If they are not they are very cheap to buy, alot cheaper than curtains.

I do love the window with the blinds built into them, they can not collect dust or anything, your animals can not even tear them up either. They really last the longest of anything else.
