Default Renovations Cause Home to Burn Beyond Hope

This is aweful. A contractor in Port Elliot was there doing home renovations on a beautiful beachfront, two-story home for a doctor when a balze broke out and totaled the house.

The contractor was actually trying to dry the wood deck. The wood overheated and a full blown blaze broke out. It threatened nearby properties because the wind was so strong.

The damage done to the house is estimated at $600,000!

The house is completely gutted.

I wonder what he was using to dry the wood!

Now this is just horrible!! It does make a person wonder what the contractor was using to dry the deck!!

I sure hope that contractor had some seriously good insurance to cover all the damage that was done to this doctor's home.

No one ever wants to hear about this kind of stuff, but accidents do happen.

Oh My, what was he using to dry the wood? I feel so bad for the homeowners, goes to show you that you need to be careful who you hire, and watch what the do as they work.
