Default My House.

I have just about had it folks. It seems like my house is falling apart around me.

My drain for my washer kept falling out and flooding my basement and my bathroom. I finally got mad and duct taped it into the drain as the hose was slipping out everytime the washer went on the spin cycle.

Now my kitchen drain keeps slipping and flooding the kitchen floor. It is a plastic drain pipe and the nut slides down allowing the pipe to come undone.

I have no idea how to fix this but I need to as I can't even wash dishes. I hate this. It seems to happen everytime my husband is gone. I also have a squeaky dryer drum that makes me want to scream.

HELP!

I can't help you with all the problems but will try on the dryer one..LOL Pull the dryer out and get all the lint with sweeper. Then check for drain stoppage which will kick the washer drain out if drain not clear. Then get plumbers glue for plastic pipe under kitchen sink, then after it dries use a drain cleaner to make sure drains there are clear. Hope this helps some.

Lol, I feel ya. I was having a similar problem in my bathroom with the sink. The pipe kept coming apart right where the straight piece comes down from the sink and the u- shaped piece meets. I duct taped the you know what out of it but it would still come undone. So here was my solution. I placed a brick under the U-shaped piece to hold it up tight and it hasn't slipped since rofl!

Ok I got the sink fixed. I had to go to the hardware store and get a washer.

I had no idea that the thing needed one. I told the young man what my problem was and what I needed and he got it for me.

First in order to fix this problem you need to unscrew the fittings. Push the nut up above its normal position.

Clean the pipe and then slip the washer onto the pipe flat side up. This is a little difficult and it doesn't seem like it is going to fit the pipe. It will however.

Once you have the washer in the right position slide the lower pipe up and the nut down and screw it onto the lower pipe and your done.

Oh by the way the washer cost me 34 cents. Cheap fix. Now if I had called a plumber I can imagine it being much much higher.
