House Flipping is Selfish?

Hey guys! No, what I meant was that I can't stand the investor that put's out the WE BUY HOUSES signs and try to steal equity. They are looking for distressed homeowners that need to sell quick, then they offer a low amount with a quick closing.

I don't think there is as much of this going on anymore because most folks don't have a ton of equity anymore.

Thank you so much for your explanation. You know its a shame about the equity that we dont have in our homes any more. It used to be that our property values went up, not down like it has been lately.

Any improvements we made in our homes made our homes worth more, but these days, all home improvements seem to get us is a bigger property tax bill.

I need someone to explain why this is selfish, it is not selfish to do something that can make a neighborhood look better with a home that is fixed up, so it is the completer opposite in my eyes.
