Home prices down?

You know, even with home prices being down right now, its still hard for people to buy homes with the economy in the mess it is in and then you have to take into consideration that lenders are saying no to loans more now than they ever have.

This whole scenario seems rather redundant. And because of all of these factors, the housing market doesnt seem able to recover the way it should.

Now it is being said that home prices are rising which is good, but still theres the fact that most people have to get a loan in order to buy a home and with lenders saying no most of the time....... Well it is just becoming a round robin.

Jared, what is your take on the housing situation these days? Do you think the housing market is recovering?

I just read an article that said that the housing market has hit the bottom and that theres no where for it to go but up. In fact, one large company is investing their money in the housing market, thats how confident that they are that things are going to improve in the near future.

I sure hope they are right. It would be nice to have the housing market recover.

Prices here in Fort Wayne are still a bit down, but not as much as more popular locations.

As far as lending goes... it's tougher now to get a loan than it used to be, and I believe it SHOULD BE tough to get a loan.

Our 2011 was amazing and we sold a lot of homes and have a lot of happy clients, but we work our butts off to make it happen.

Jared I am so glad to hear that you are doing well there in Fort Wayne.

I do agree that it is a good thing for lenders to be so stringent in their lending these days. Had they been before, perhaps the real estate sector wouldnt be in such dire straits now.

Lots of hard work means you are a caring agent and that puts you a cut above the rest.
