Default Hoarders Buried Alive

Hoarders Buried Alive is a show that I finally got to see early this morning. I was shocked to see the homes that people live in.

Don't get me wrong the houses were beautiful, however those living in these homes were not even able to move around in these houses because of all the clutter, garbage, collections, clothes and so much more.

It was horrible. This hoarding disease is some serious stuff. One woman has actually been evicted from different places because of this disease. To prevent being evicted from her current residence (I believe that is what was said) she actually rented a large truck to shove everything into and then drove it around the corner so that it was out of site.

Then when the coast was clear she quickly brought the truck back around to the house and unloaded everything once again.

This hoarding disease ruins the lives of spouses, children and other family members.

Did anyone else see this show as well? I know that one lady who is fighting this disease actually filled up her apartment and then began filling up her mothers place as well because she ran out of room.

I can't even imagine what it must be like to have this disease and not be able to let go of anything. That has to be a very difficult way to go through life.

Omg I can't hardly watch a whole show through sometimes because it's aweful. I really do think that those people have a mental illness that causes them to be that way. How horrible it must be to live like that and hate that you are living like that but not able to change it. They just can't get it under control. I really feel for them.

I have seen episodes where they have had cats and the cats have had litters and litters of kittens. When they are cleaning they find kitten carcasses and all kinds of stuff. It's horrible.

I haven't seen this one but seen one on A&E.

I cannot believe what some of these people live with everyday. I have an Aunt who is a hoarder and even though she see's the mess she cannot bare to get rid of anything in the house. It all has a purpose.

It is a terrible disease for all involved.

I have seen one of the episodes and I tell you it reminded me of some of the people that I knew when I was growing up.

Though I did not know anyone anywhere near as bad as the people on this show.

I can not even imagine keeping all kind of stuff like that,I clean my closets and stuff out once a year or more to clear out old stuff that I do not need.

I am not going to take away from my space to keep things that I don't even use and clutter my home with it.That is quite a bit to much for me.

Hoarding is a mental illness and requires treatment to help get it under control. Until those who are hoarders seek treatment then they will continue to actually bury themselves alive in their homes.

It is just hard to believe that hoarders are able to see what is going on around them yet are powerless to do anything about it. That is one thing that I liked a lot about this show is that these people who are hoarders sought out help for their addiction and are now living a more clutter free happy life.

I have also seen episodes of this show where they also found the remains of dead animals in the homes, but because there was so much clutter that no one living in the home knew where the animals were or what happened to them. People aren't the only ones who suffer from someone who is a hoarder. Animals will suffer just as much if not more.

I hope that everyone who is a hoarder manages to find the power to seek out help or has family and friends willing to help them seek out the help that they need. No one should live like this..

I have seen this show...and I can't usually watch the whole thing through either. It makes me want to get up and clean my house!

All I can think of is the germs I am surprised these folks are sick all the time. I really get upset when there are kids in the house...how can someone make their kids live like that????

Its a mental disease. Those who are hoarders see the problem but have no control over it. Which is why hoarders need to seek out professional help to get this problem under control.

Some of the houses I have seen on this show I have seen a variety of insects, animal bodies as well as rats and such while they were cleaning out the houses.

Everyone finds this horrible however for those who have this awful disease they just can't control it. Its sad and your right children should not have to suffer through this but there are some that do. Hopefully they will see this show and attempt to get help for their parent(s) so that this can be stopped.
