Default Extreme Celebrations

I can not believe how some people think they should ring in the new year. In our neighborhood we had some jerk who lives behind us shooting off his shot gun!! Worst part is he wasnt shooting in the air. He managed to take out two windows in our garage and one in our home, two windows in our neighbors garage and I believe he shot a couple of his own windows as well.

I am so very thankful that our kids werent at home when this idiot started!! Its amazing that he didnt actually shoot and kill someone last night. Some people shouldnt allow themselves to celebrate!!!

Hubby and I both freaked out when we heard the shots and of course the windows shattering. This upset us a great deal. I hope that this man ends up spending alot of time behind bars and really thinks about what he has done and what could have actually happened.

Now we have to contact our insurance company and have our windows fixed. The kids have had to stay with friends, because even though the broken windows are covered, its chilly in here and there is still some glass on the floor which we arent allowed to clean up just yet. Apparently someone from the insurance company will be comming to document the damage and take photos.

OMG, thank goodness you are all okay! Thats unreal! He must have been drunk which means he had no business shooting at midnight. My twelve year old son shot hit gun at midnight under the very careful supervision of Mom and Dad! It is a traditional thing but you certainly shouldn't be doing it if you are intoxicated!!!

Well that is the worst part about all of this, that jerk wasnt drunk at all. Apparently he doesnt drink and was just in the mood to celebrate while at the same time trying to kill someone!!!

Its a huge mess, and not a very good way to begin a new year. Hopefully this will be the very worst thing that happens to us this year, but something tells me that if the new year starts off this bad, then the rest of the year will sadfully follow.

We also discovered during the glass clean up that he did manage to take out our coffee pot!! No coffee for a few days.
