Default DIY with Mighty Putty

I always thought that most of the merchandise that you see on TV commercials were pretty much useless until at our local Walmart, which has a section offering these products, I bought Mighty putty.

Mighty Putty works on metal, glass, pvc, wood, wall board, ceramics, tile, and concrete. It also works on steel, fiberglass, and aluminum, in fact, it works on just about anything.

And one nice thing about Mighty Putty is the fact that it will even adhere to wet surfaces, a fact that I had doubted until I tried it.

Mighty Putty comes in a tubular shape with white epoxy on the inside and and green on the outside. You knead these two together until you get one consistant color, then apply to whatever surface you are repairing.

My daughter has a Jeep and her side mirror had been knocked off and was held on temporairly with wire. We decided to try Mighty Putty on it and it worked great. Even considering the weight of the mirror. After we applied the Mighty Putty, I used masking tape to tape the mirror in place for about 20 minutes.

And, Mighty Putty does work on wet surfaces. I proved that by repairing a leak in the pipe from our bathtub which caused water to drip in the basement everytime someone took a shower or bath. You just have to be sure to work the Magic Putty really well onto the surface, and it will harden and stop that leak completely.

Mighty Putty is a great product for use in Do It Yourself jobs around the house and the price for three tubes of it is well worth the expenditure.

I havent heard of this Mighty Putty, but it sure sounds like something that I should have around my home.

There is always something that is in need of minor repairs. I know right now the pipes under the bathroom sink leak. This would be the perfect repair to take care of the little problem.

I will have to check for the the next time I head out to Walmart. Heck if this stuff works that well, I may even pick some up to use as a Christmas gifts for others.

Thanks for the information on this DIY product. I am sure that it is going to come in handy!
