Default decorating

I know a lot of people are not good with decorating and arranging their houses. Im not the best but i feel as though your home should represent you as a person and your family. Its the one place you spend most of your time so why not make it something you love.

I've been in many houses and nothings worst then walking in a seeing nothing but white one the walls. Put pictures of you and your family or anything you like around on the walls. Paint is your best friend, its crazy how much a room can change just by a coat of paint.

Once you start making your house look more alive you youself will feel better too. I know, trust me.

You are right on. Your surroundings have a lot to do with the way you feel. If your house is decorated with things that you love then you will feel more joyous. It's all about what you surround yourself with. Even paint color can effect your moods!

I am no professional interior decorator, but I know that some of the smallest of changes in a home can make a very big impact on the look and feel of the space.

Paint really is one easy, inexpensive way to really make a great change to any room in the home.

One coat of paint can definitely make all the difference in a room. I was so happy to finally be in house that I could paint the walls whatever color I wanted to and hang as many pictures as I wanted with out having to worry what the landlord thought (I'm the landlord now...LOL).

The rooms where we spend the most time I tend to decorate in nice neutral and relaxing colors like blues, tans, greens. Rooms that are mostly for entertaining, I decorate in vibrant, yet not in your face colors like oranges, reds, and yellows. For me the colors you choose for the rooms sets the moods of the people in them.

I love to decorate. Thats one of my favorite things to do. I love picking out items for a space. Everything from the big furniture to the small details. I love how it all comes together in the end. I really should have been an interior decorator lol. Although I don't know if I am very good at it! I have always liked what I have done in my own home though lol.

There are all kinds of cheap ways to decorate and I love using bits and pieces of this and that I either hand make, estate sales and yard sales. Most of the time i can pick up really cheap pieces at yard sales. Get artsy with you decorating, it's your room, make it your room with bits and pieces of your personality.

My mom missed her calling as an interior decorator, she would take to me to all kinds of places looking for interesting stuff for the house. Fabric remnants were her favorite! She would do all kinds of things with those like, re-cover a pillow or chair and that would make all the difference.

You are all so right about color making the mood of a room.

My bedroom is a pale yellow with muted green curtains and stand covers.

It gives a great feeling when I wake up in the morning as I feel like wow another day. And that is a feeling I really enjoy.

Most people would shy away from this color in a bedroom but it is great for me.
