Househunters: City Buying Vs Country
I was watching House Hunters a little while ago and I'm not sure exactly where this show was located but this couple was looking to buy a home in the city. They had a budget of $430,000. Thats almost half a mil.
For their almost half a mil all they were going to get in the location that they wanted was a run down house that looked more like it should be condemned than anything else.
I was completely shocked at what that kind of money would buy.
Then they went and looked at a house more in the country/outskirts of the city and it was like night and day.
That house had fancy chandeliers, I don't even know how many bathrooms, fireplaces throughout and so on. It was absolutely beautiful. And it was slighty under their budget.
It's amazing how much location dictates the cost of a house.
