Hoarders

This is one show that is hard to watch, yet at the same time practically impossible to change channels on.

I know that hoarding is a disease but man I am surprised that there are so many people that suffer from it and don't seek help or have family and friends who will get them the help that is needed.

The other night I found myself watching another episode of this show and there were actually two children in a home where both the husband and the wife both were hoarders. Normally there is only one hoarder in a household but this one had two and two child suffering from it all.

These two kids, well now teens have suffered through this all of their lives. Can you imagine what these two kids went through growing up in a home like this?? I cant even imagine it. Never being able to bring friends home, fighting to find just a place to sit and more.

I have seen some messy homes in my life, but never anywhere near some of the places that I have seen on this show.

I can not imagine living under those circumstances,it is a wonder the kids did not get any diseases growing up in that mess.

Everything has it's place in my home I can not stand clutter,it really bugs the mess out of me.

I could not marry a hoarder,I would end up hurting him if I did lol.

I am just to neat of a person than that,

Many of those who are hoarders did not start out that way. It is something that happens later in life. What triggers it..no one knows. As I mentioned earlier the husband and wife were a normal couple until she began hoarding and then he to also began.

No one knows why this happens it just does. So you could meet someone perfectly normal and then all of a sudden things start happening and then before you know it your home is completely buried in clutter and you can't even find a place to sit down.

It isn't something that people WANT to do, it's simply something that they can not keep from happening. I am just thankful that there is help available to those who find themselves in this kind of horrible mess.

No one should have to live this way, especially children. They lose out on some of the most important things in life because they aren't even able to move around in their own homes.
