Default Disaster DIY

Have you guys seen this show yet? I think it's new but I'm not sure. It's called Disaster DIY. I had actually planned to catch an episode this evening but I didn't get the opportunity because my stinkin' electric was out until late tonight.

It sounds like a pretty cool show though. It's on HGTV.

Basically the show is about home owner/do-it-yourselfers that have totally flubbed up their renovations. The host of the show comes in and saves the disaster renovations.

Quote:
Host and contractor Bryan Baeumler arrives to save families from renovation disasters and teach DIYers the safe and proper way to fix their mistakes.
I don't know about you guys but I will admit to a few disasters in my day. I could probably learn a lot from this show.

I am not sure if this is the one I have seen or not. The one I saw has a guy that comes in and redoes the messups other contractors etc have left behind.

I am going to go to hgtv.com and look up the scheduling for this show and try to catch it this week. It sure does sound interesting and would be of great service to those out there that have run into the problems that can arise from shoddy workmanship.

I actually got to catch a bit of it last night and it was good.

This show is where the homeowners themselves try to do renovations and they flub them up. Then the show host comes in and makes it right.

I think the one you are referring to is called Holmes on Homes. Thats the one where a contractor either screws everything up or doesn't even complete the job and Mike Holmes comes in and does it right.

Both are very good shows.

Yea, thats the name of the show I saw, Holmes on Homes. Now that one I really like.

This other show you are talking about isnt one I have seen yet but I will make it a special point to check it out. It sounds very interesting and like it would be very helpful.

It really is a good show. The episode that I got to watch part of was about a couple with kids. The Mom wanted to renovate the basement so that she could use it as a place to do hair to make extra money. Well the husband started the project but he did more harm than good lol. Then came the show crew. I missed the finished project but at about the half way point it was already looking good.
