Default Eminent Domain

Eminent Domain is the power that is held over all property in a state, by the state. Which means that the state can use the law of "condemnation" to acquire a persons property, and said person is due fair market value for the property that the state wants in order to make new highways etc.

Fair Market Value, in this case, means the highest price someone would pay for the property if the owner were selling it on his own.
