Some of the biggest remodeling mistakes are laden with the best of intentions. Sometimes doing less is for the best.

Some of the most common remodel mistakes made by house flippers are that they put their own personal taste into what they are doing. They like purple so they choose purple paint. Not a good thing. Whatever you do you want it to appeal to the widest range of people possible. Neutrals work best for color.

Sometimes flippers decide to go all out on one project such as the kitchen and kind of let the other rooms go by the wayside. Again, not good. Especially with the market being flooded with houses for sale these days. People already have a lot of choices. They are not going to choose your house on the kitchen alone. Don't over invest in one area.

You have to find that fine line between not enough and too much. Don't spend more than you have to but don't go overly cheap either.
