Default Re-using Materials

Sometimes its alot cheaper to reuse some materials. Though this can only be done or should be done if the older materials are in great condition and will not cause problems with either the home or even health issues for the owners later on down the road.

Most of the time reusing lumber is a great way to make some repairs around the home and save yourself a good deal of money. We all know that purchasing new lumber cant be quite costly.

Piping is another material which can be reused to save money, as long as there are no cracks, breaks or blockages inside the pipes. Though again these have to be in great condition to be reused, so that there are not problems in a few years.

There really are alot of materials which can be reused to make repairs to a home which you are working on to help yourself save some cash, though before doing so you much make sure that what you are reusing is legal to use, as building codes change alot and of course you dont want to use something that is just going to cause alot of problems later for the new owners. That would not look good on your house flipping skills.

You are so right about the price of lumber. It is out of control. We never throw away a piece of lumber. I can't tell you how many times we dug through our old lumber and used it for something else.

Just last week, my other neighbor gave me 2 long boards that were treated lumber. My other neighbor beside me needed a set of steps for their camper. Well it just happened, my brother came over and he made them a really nice set of steps out of the lumber.

It came out so nice and sturdy. They absolutely love them. Now when she is up inside of her camper, she can come out and not be scared that she will fall.
