Default House Hunting Mistakes

House hunting and buying is a very emotional process. There are lots of ups and downs. It can be an emotional rollercoaster.

One big mistake is allowing your emotions to play a role in your decisions. Lots of implications come into play such as changing locations to making it hard to make ends meet. If you can find a way to keep your emotions in check you will be able to make better, more rational decisions.

Don't even look at houses that you cannot afford. Once you look and fall in love it will be very difficult to find anything in your price point that meets your expectations. Also it will tempt you to break the budget which only leads to bad things.

At the same time though don't just settle for anything with the assumption that there isn't anything better out there because usually there are. Especially right now. The market is flooded with houses of all kinds.

Don't overlook important flaws because you like the house. Some major problems are just too much to handle and if the sellers won't fix the problems then walk away.

Default Re: House Hunting Mistakes

I agree to not just settle for one, because you think there is nothing better, if you do this you will end up miserable, and just want to move, buying a home is a something you could hopefully live in the rest of your life, so only buy the one you really can see yourself in for life.
