Default Getting up to code.

You should check with you local authority on current housing and construction code. It could cost you a ton of money not to do so.

The laws have changed over the years and what we need to do is clearly for safety. I have an old trailer that is OK because it is an existing structure but if I were to do remodeling I would need to bring it up to code.

If you are doing major work on your place or just simple repairs you need to know if you need to make additional repairs or modifications. Electrical wiring and fuse panels are some of the most important changes that need to be made.

When we redid our basement we put in the 3 prong type wall sockets that have breakers in them. These are a must now a days and an inspector will look for these things.

Good luck and keep yourself up to code and you will have a flip worth selling in no time. Safety features are also a plus when you are purchasing home owners insurance.
