I think one of the biggest mistakes when it comes to flipping houses is expecting to get rich quick. I think Jared would agree with this. House flipping takes time, money and a lot of patience so don't listen to the infomercials that try and make it sound like it is a quick and easy fix to your money woes.

A group of experts made a list of some of the most common mistakes real estate investors make.

Plan as you go. Thats a big mistake. They say the many investors/flippers buy the property and then try to come up with a plan on where to go from there. They say you need to have your plan first and then find the property that will fit your plan.

Thinking that house flipping will make you instantly rich. That just isn't going to happen. Sure, there is lots of money to be made by flipping houses but it isn't going to happen overnight.

Trying to do this alone is another mistake. You really do need a team of individuals with different expertise. You need a real-estate agent, an appraiser, a lender, a closing attorney and a home inspector. Not to mention people to do the work that you cannot.

My best advise is to not jump into anything without doing very thorough research first.

It is common sense to know that there is no such thing as getting rich quick, but still there are so many people out there who will still belive that it is possible. It would be nice if there was a way to get rich quick, but things just dont work that way sadfully.
