Default Don't Leave the Obvious Undone

There are obvious things that a potential buyer is going to look at in a house and if they are not satisfied they won't consider buying the home.

You definitely don't want to leave cracks in the walls or leave them unpainted. Don't leave cracked tiles on the floors, re-tile them. Be sure that cupboard doors are in good shape and they open and close properly.

You also want to make sure the faucets don't leak and the tub isn't grimy. It is the obvious visual things that will keep you from selling the house.

Make sure everything looks completed. Everything should look clean and if possible you should stage with some furniture and accessories.

Boy have you got that right. I looked at several homes before we decided on ths one. One house we looked at was cute but the floors were like walking across river stones.

They were very uneven. It was a deciding factor for me as I knew it would be a big project and would have to be done before we moved in. How could you put furniture in a room with a floor like that. It would tip over. Wow!
