When flipping a house, one of the most important issues you will come across will be your contractor that you hire to do the actual work.

Be sure to do your research when it comes to contractors. You can talk to neighbors and friends and other people that have used a contractor and compare notes on each contractor and compare their work, attendance, and prices.

Not all contractors are the same, unfortunately. While some are trustworthy and will get the work done at the time and price promised, some are very unscrupulous, so be sure to do your homework before hiring any contractor, be it roofing, electrical, plumbing or whatever.

I just got very lucky.

I recently built a house from scratch and my contractor rocks.

I did look over his shoulder constantly though, but in retrospect, he would have performed just as well without me doing so, albeit a bit slower.

I am hanging on to him...
