Default Road Paving

Right now as I type this out, there is a team of people outside paving our roads after they have been a mess for months.

We were told last month that everything would be completed at the latest by the middle of October. Well they are just starting the work now which is already passed the middle of the month. Though I am just glad that most of this is and has been done.

The roads here have been horrible since they started the work in putting in new drainage ditches, water lines and new water meters.

It has been like driving on a wash board lately. They really tore the roads up doing all of this work. Of course I am glad that all of the work has been done. Though it will be nice when it is all completed and we can be comfortable driving up and down the roads.

We had left this morning to do laundry and a little bit of shopping and when we got back they had already started paving our road. We were barely able to get into the drive way, so we are now stuck inside the house for a little while which is fine with me. I am sick and don't feel like going out anyway. Though when we do go out again the roads will be nice and paved!!

The a section of the highway where I live had been under construction since the beginning of summer. They are finally done and it isn't one bit better than it was before!!!! I'd love to know what they were actually doing all of that time!

Man, there's nothing better than driving on fresh pavement. Well, there may be a few things...

Just think, in a few short days, you'll be driving up to your house on the newest road in town. It's not so different from child birth, really--you always forget how long, painful, and inconvenient it was, and only remember how much you enjoy seeing the result every day.

Well I don't know about the childbirth, but I do know it sure was extremely nice driving up to the house on a nice smooth road.

I am glad that they have finally gotten all of this stuff done and everyone's lives can go back to normal, because during all of this work on the water lines, drainage ditches and the road getting in and out of everyone's homes was a struggle at times.

Though now that everything is done it is so very nice. I was worried that they weren't going to get everything done when they said they were. They were scheduled to have it all done by the middle of October, but didn't get it all done until the 20th which is still pretty good.

They were delayed due to weather but thankfully it is all done now and getting to and from the house is so much better.

Now all we have to do is get the grass to once again grow where they had piled a ton of dirt for so long.
