Default Renovating my home.

We have been trying to renovate our home for many years. We started in the basement. We redid one room as a bedroom for our son.
We then went to another room and got the drywall and the electric done. He also did the main room in drywall and has a bathroom down there that isn't quite finished.
He also has a room upstairs that has had the drywalling done and the electric but that is it.
We have lived here for 14 years and the only room that has been completely finished is our bedroom.
I have an upstairs bath the needs done and an large outdated kitchen also. I just can't wait to see everything finished.
I am afraid however that it may take another 14 years. He did also get the siding put on the outside of the house. And he built his polebarn. He still has to get electric to it and get the bathroom put in. He also needs to get his heat installed. I love my husband but I do wish he would finish one project before moving on to something else.

LOL, hate to tell you but starting a project then starting another before the first is done, well its just a man thing. I think all men do it for some reason. My hubby does the same thing. I could pester him for ages to get one thing done, and it usally does not work. I am thinking of investing in a cattle prod...Think that would help?? (just kidding).

I guess all we can do is attempt to do it ourselves and then they usally will step in to keep us from making mistakes. I try to make a mistake that is easily covered up or fixed, and this usally gets him to finish. That might be an idea for you to try.

I will but he is away and has told me not to do anything to the house while he is gone. This is going to be difficult but he does have a point.
If I wait we will be able to get it all planned out and finished in one shot.

Wait wait wait... a man thing? Come on homealone, are you serious? I have finished MANY projects that I have started! For instance... there is the bathroom! Wait, that still needs painted. Okay okay, how about the new front door we got a month ago??? Oh frick, still have to paint that too and caulk in a few cracks.

Hm. Maybe your on to something! LMAO!!

ROFL, I always say that it's easier to get a relative to get stuff completely done for me than my husband, he'll run out the door, tools in hand to fix something for someone else, but projects here at home get partly finished.

When I get tired of waiting, I call on a friend to start on the project......and pretty soon, hubby is there pitching in to get it done. Ya know how the guys are always saying that women can't go to a restroom alone??? Well guys need other guys to get a home improvement project done, that's just the way it is.
