Default Next Project

Well it seems that during the winter we wont be getting any rest at all from the renovation projects for the house.

We were planning on starting on our bedroom next summer once the weather was again warm, though now he is talking about doing it next month!

I know we are both a bit anxious to get it done but this is going to be difficult. First off we are going to end up sleeping in the living room or in the office while the work is being done.

Its going to take a good while to get everything that we want done completed. The room will be completely gutted, right down to the studs. The carpet will be removed, ceiling will come down and the windows will also be removed.

There are no heating vents in our bedroom, so thankfully we dont have to worry about heating the entire neighborhood while all of this is going on.

While all the walls and everything are torn out we will be adding in more electrical outlets, because there is only two in the bedroom now and they are in odd places.

We are also moving the ceiling light to the center of the room where it should be. Right now it is in front of my closet pretty much. It works nicely, but it really should be in the center of the room.

My closet is another project that is going to be redone. There are three windows in the bedroom and one will soon be gone when the renovations begin. This window will then become a walk in closet for me. That I am really looking forward to.

Wish us lots of luck on this project we are going to be needing it.
