Default New Water Lines

At my sweeties house they have cut up the road to put in new water lines. They have also completely torn up his front yard for water lines.

It all a horrible mess right now. I am so looking forward to when all the work is complete, because most of the time we can't even get close to the house with his car, we have to walk in from another street.

It really stinks though we will be thankful when it is all said and done. They are also going to be paving his road as well as fixing the drainage pipe that runs in from of his house and across his driveway.

Though right now his front yard is a huge mess with a large mound of dirt piled up to the point where it is difficult to get to the front porch.

I wanted to take pictures of this mess but I dropped my camera and now its not working at all, I am trying to borrow one but I don't know if that is gonna happen either. Though if I can I will take pictures of all this so you can really see what is going on.

Well, as unhandy as all of this is, at least it is being done now. Imagine the walk from the next street and the struggle to get to the porch in the winter time.

Hopefully they will have everything done and the road paved before cold weather hits.

Do show us a pic. It will be interesting to see what all has to be done to a persons property just to make these repairs.

Hang in there, it will all be over soon and you will be able to put in grass seed to cover where it will be bare and by next summer you wont even know it happened.

Well I now have access to a digital camera so next time I am up at his place I will take pictures of the road and his yard where it has been torn up.

Last Tuesday I was there of course with out a camera, but I did cut the grass there. It was even more difficult because of all the dirt piled up. There was of course a section of his lawn that I was not able to cut because of that.

In a way it made things easier for me, yet on the other hand it also made it more difficult as well.

I spoke to a gentleman who was one of the many responsible for making this all happen and he mentioned that things are going to be like this for about another month to a month and a half.

It is making life a bit difficult right now, though once it is all done is sure is going to be nice. Especially when they fix the drainage ditch in front of his place.

Oh this is sooo nice. Today the workers tore up the old drainage pipe in the front of my other half's house and replaced it.

Now before all of that my sweetie had to take a few pieces of plywood to cover a large hole in the pipe that would have easily swallowed a tire.

Though now that wood is no longer needed and the workers even offered to get rid of the old wood because trash pick up won't take that kind of stuff so that is really sweet of those men.

They have kept me in the loop as to what is going on and when. Neighbors are coming to me to find out what is going on because of this as well. Though I have to admit that it is nice knowing what is going on in the area and when.

I am glad that all of this is getting taken care of though I do look forward to quiet days again when it is all finished.
