Default New Hardware made a huge difference

Just thought I would pass this along to you all. We replaced all of the hardware in a 1500 sq ft. Town home for about half the price we were about to pay at Home depot. We got rid of all of the old, out of date brass knobs and fixtures, replaced them with Oil Rubbed Bronze and the place looks so different.
When the realator suggested it I was afraid that we would never get a return on the investment. We will for sure.

Some of you might be afraid to shop on the internet but these guys were a dream to work with. They seem to be a small company and were willing to work with us and made things a lot easier.

Good Luck

I bet it did make a huge difference in the house to replace all of the hardware. That is exactly what I try and tell everyone, updating your home alone will increase the value of your home dramaticaly. That is one of the first thing that home buyers look for when buying themselves a home.

Updated windows and doors also make a huge difference in a home, along with cabinetry and appliances and floors. These things are first inpression things that buyers pay big attention to.

The hardware on cabinets can make a huge difference inthe way your cabinets look. I want to change the ones I have here.

I will check those guys out and see what I can do. I know at home depot and places like that they are high priced.

Just goes to show, that even the smallest of changes in or around a home can hold a huge impact on the place itself.

You are so right. The smallest things can make the biggest impact. Throw pillows, candles, knobs- it's the littlier things that change how a room looks.

Very cost effective too.

Sounds like a great company to work with. I will keep them in mind for sure.

When replacing doorknobs, is it also important to replace hinges? They don't show as much as the knobs, and I'm really dreading taking down the doors. Can hinges be painted?

Yes, hinges can be painted, but make sure that you get a paint that is made for metal. Its best to take the hinges off the door and frame to paint them so that you dont get the paint on the door itself or the door frame.

It is easy to remove the doors, just take the pins out of the hinges, remove the door then remove the hinges to paint them. When they are dry, just reverse the procedure to put all back as it was.
