Default New garage door installation.

Our new garage door was delivered yesterday and we are very anxious to get it put up but we have run into a problem in doing this.

Up until yesterday, we had some very nice days in the 60s and wouldnt you just know that now that we have the new garage door on hand, the temperatures have dropped significantly. In fact, we are supposed to get snow here on Friday.

We are hoping that next week will be warmer so that we can install this door to help with our heating bills for the rest of the winter. We are hoping that the installation of this new door will help keep the garage much warmer than in the past.

It wouldnt take long to install the door, but we have adjustments to make on the door frame itself plus install a new overhead kit.

The temps have certainly dropped where I live! I hate it! Right now is probably not the best time to have a gaping hole in your house for any lenght of time!

Is there no way to block off the garage in a way so that you won't be losing your heat? Maybe put plastic up or something. I guess it depends on the layout of your house.

There are some very large tarps that you could use to block the at least most of the cold air from entering the house.

This is something I have done before and it isn't perfect but it sure helps a whole lot.

I do hope that you will soon have your new garage door installed and you won't have to worry about cold air coming in. Best of luck to you on that one.

The weather around here is going to be getting more and more cold so getthing your door installed now is a good idea if your going to do it at all. From the way the wind feels outside right now I am surprised I'm not already seeing snow falling.
