Default Natural Disaster Preperations

After hearing about all of the tornadoes that struck the southern states, it got me thinking it could happen anywhere and I wonder if everyone is prepared for something like this.

I know I'm not, but now I soon will be. Since we have to have work done on the basement of the house anyway I am also going to make sure that it is in shape to handle a tornado.

We don't have tornadoes often in my area but you just never know. This is another reason I think everyone should get themselves prepared because mother nature can strike at any time.

I will also be updating the first aid kits in the house, storing some food and water in the basement and changing it out every couple of months. I will also be putting things like candles, batteries, radio, flashlights, pillows, blankets and things like that down there as well.

I am ashamed of myself not already having this done, and that it took this natural disaster to wake me up. Though I have quite a bit of shopping to do this week to get things set up, but it is going to get done.

No I am not ready, but is anyone really ready, even if they think they are?

No one can be 100% prepared for any disaster, but you should make sure that your as prepared as you can possibly be.

Right now in Alabama and Mississippi there are thousands of people with out homes, food, clothing and more.

It is a good idea to get a few things gathered up, stored safely so that just in case something were to happen ( which hopefully never does), but at least those who were a little bit more prepared than most would have at least one or two things less to worry about.

No one I know is prepared what so ever for any kind of disaster. Of course I am working to correct that problem. Making them understand that if they ended up with out anything what would they do. Everyone is starting to make at least a few preperations. No one can be completely prepared, but everyone can make some preperations just to be on the safe side.
