Default Flooded Basement

I swear if it isn't one thing it's another. during the last week I noticed more and more water coming into the basement at my old man's place. At first I thought we had a busted pipe to the sink or something because it wasn't much water, but all the pipes are in good shape and they aren't leaking.

Then after we had a decent amount of snow and then it melted the water in the basement increased to about 3 inches all over the place. This means that there is a problem with the fountation that is allowing the water to enter. We need to get this taken care of before the problem gets even worse.

I hate that this is happening right now when the weather is so darn cold. Though I guess it is better to find out now rather than later when a wall down there caves in or something.
