Default Fixtures

With so many choices in light fixtures, fans, plumbing ect.. Whats a good way to go as these can eat up $$$ fast? Also if your light is nikel or bronze does all your hardware need to match in the whole house?

Actually you can get too matchy matchy when you are remodeling. It's a good idea to make sure each room matches in finishes, but not in the whole house.

As far as costs goes, don't be afraid to go to some discount type stores and check for fixtures. Some of the less expensive ones can be just as beautiful as those ones that cost an arm and a leg and as long as they are safety rated, they're fine to use.

Thanks so in a nut shell if I have brushed nikel handels on my cabinets my fan & lights should be nikel as well. As far as the other rooms go they can be different if need be.
