Default Cutting Things Close

Well I know that we are cutting things close, but things are getting done now. For a while now we have been planning on doing some renovations to my old man's place.

Things like fixing the gutters, painting, moving plants, staining the deck, fixing the plumbing and what not.

Today we got the deck stained, the painting done all execpt for one window which neither of us could reach with out a ladder and got what was needed to fix the plumbing.

We are getting so close to winter and I really don't like putting off things as long as we have, but we still have some time to get everything that needs to be done finally done.

Now is the time to get off the couch and get ready for winter because I don't know about where you all live but around here it already feels as though it is November instead of September.

So don't put things off to much longer because winter is on it's way and when it gets here it will be to late to get these kinds of projects done.

There is that yucky word again... winter! EWWWWW!

You are right though, the Fall chill is already showing it's ugly head and before we know it snow will be falling from the sky.

It's now or never. We all need to get on the things that we need done before it's too late. Too late is coming fast!

I am glad to hear that you have gotten a good bit done.

Things here are put on hold right now as my hubby has to go in and start chemo. I am getting done what I can do though and it does help.

We have a couple of sons that we can call on to help get the bigger stuff done though. So that is a definite plus.

Right now I need to concentrate on getting the wood in for the wood burner. Theres nothing worse than having to go outside and knock wood apart that has been snowed and rained on and then frozen together.

Actually though, we are pretty good shape here this fall. We keep on top of it all as we go so there isnt a lot more that needs to be done, but do hurry, its gonna get cold before you know it.

I am glad to hear that you have some sons that you can count on for help Flippinout, especially when things are so hard right now for you.

We are attempting to get things done before the weather does turn bad, but it seems that there is just so much to do that it will never get done. I know that it will, but some times it seems that the to do list just keeps growing.

Though I will say that I am happy that he did purchase a weed eater recently, which means all those weeds that have been growing will now be gone soon. His weed eater was stolen one night when he forgot to put it away and left it on his porch.

I am hoping that everything that we need to do will get done before winter weather gets bad to the point where nothing can be done outside. That is our goal right now and so far we are doing pretty well.

The next project on the list is to get his furnance checked and cleaned, so that when it starts getting really cold he will have heat with out worry. He has an older furnance and since he has moved into his home he hasn't had it inspected. It is a gas furnance so this is something that must be checked. He is also going to purchase a carbon monoxide detector though he does't know it yet,LOL.
