Default Rude Realtor

This is something that is really sad, at least I think it is. A good friend of mine is expecting her first child in just a few months, and she and her husband decided that it was time that they bought a larger house for their new family.

Well they contacted one realtor and things didn't go well at all I guess. From what they told me the realtor was really rude towards them and didn't seem to want to answer any questions for them about a couple of homes she showed them and so on.

Needless to say that they decided to go with a different realtor and are soon going to be moving into their new home and getting it all ready for the new bundle of joy they are expecting.

Well I am glad they got another one. Evidently that one did not want to sell a house. It really amazes me the way some professionals can be at times.

I am glad they found a house they liked and hope all works out well for them all. I hope the reported that realtor.

Well I don't know if they reported the realtor or not. Something tells me that they didn't because most likely the realtor was going through a bad time or something. I am just glad that they found another and things worked out well for them.

I am not saying that going through a bad time is a good excuse for behaving like that, because I have had bad days but could not treat customers like crap. Though I do believe that if your having a bad day then maybe you should stay home for the day and get yourself pulled together.

Everyone has a bad day every now and then, but I must say that it is important being able to control yourself and seperate your foul mood with work and carrying on with the day, but this is something that some people apparently just can't do.

Oh well things worked out and they worked out well in the end.

It's amazing how many times I hear this. I bet at least 10 of our clients from this year have come to us because other Realtors have been rude to them. I'm cool with that, makes us look better!

I also get a lot of complaints about realtors and I just don't understand it. I'm probably going to get in trouble for this comment, but I have noticed that their are a lot of idiot realtors that have been licensed in the last few years. I'm not sure if they understand that people don't have to work with them. They can have their pick of really good realtors. The real estate profession is a people profession and if you don't love working with people then find something else to do. After all this is the largest purchase the will make in their lives and realtors must always keep this in mind.

Hello there realestatehound and welcome to our forum.

I have to agree with you comments about real estate agents. I sure wouldnt want to deal with one that is rude and uncaring.

When I sold my fathers house which was located over 80 miles from where I live, I was lucky enough to find a very nice man to take care of the sale of the property. He would call me a couple of times a week to update me on what was going on.

He was a very caring person and did his very best and got me a quick sale. More realtors should be like this man. You are so right, its a people job, and if you dont like people, work elsewhere.

I know that everyone can have an off day, but when you choose a career which involves working with people all of the time an off day can seriously damage your reputation and cost you customers and money.

Honestly I hve only delt with one realtor in my life so far, and the woman I worked with was amazingly kind and a hard worker. She always seemed to go above and beyond what she needed to do to make everyone happy. This isn't something I expected, but was pleased by it anyway.

One thing I do know for sure. If I ever have need of another realtor in my life I will not deal with someone who is rude or uncaring. There are plenty of real estate agents out there who will be more than willing to have my business and work with me to find what it is that I need.

Oh and welcome to New House Flip Realestatehound, glad to have you here with all of us!!!
