How much does the realtor know about the mortgage company that they are working with?

I myself am not real sure of the answer. I do know that many places work with the same lenders frequently. I just don't know whether or not the know them as well as they should.

I was wondering if any of the realty companies had stopped working with certain lenders after the news came out about so many putting out bad loans.

Do the realtors have a responsibility beyond making the sale to you to know whether or not the mortgage lender is making bad loans or not?
