Default Real Estate Agent Training

I was surprised to hear the little amount of time it takes to become a realtor. This is upsetting. It takes very little time and practically everyone and anyone can do it!!

The problem is that most people don't have a clue on how to stage a home, sell a home or normally anything there is about the house's they are hired to sell!!!

I seriously think that the courses needed to become a real estate agent should be more extensive. People should have knowledge about homes, repairs, area schools, area shopping and a whole lot more.

I mean if your going to try and sell someone a house, shouldn't you know as much about them as possible??? I would want to if I were an agent.

Maybe this is why I don't sell real estate, I would want to know to much!!!

It is very easy to get your real estate license. It is very hard to become a good REALTOR. When I started I had my wife to train me and help me learn the law, the rules, the areas, etc.

I just think that it is wrong that it is SO easy to become a realtor. The training and knowledge should take a much longer amount of time than it does.

I don't think I would seriously want to buy a house from an agent who didn't know much about the house. I mean how can ANYONE sell anything at all if they know very little about it.

It just doesn't make any sense to me!!

Jared I am glad that your wife was able to help you out so much. I will say that you seem to go above and beyond what most real estate agents do. If I were going to purchase a home, I would seriously search out an agent like yourself!!
