Default Become a real estate agent.

Becoming an agent is a simple process you need to contact a real estate broker first. Then go on and take the real estate course.

Once licenced you will work for the broker. I did this for a short period. The course and test were easy enough.

The hard part was balancing my full time job and what I needed to do for my broker.

If you wish to do this go ahead. It is well worth it if you have the time needed.

Many people sell homes and make great money doing it. Jared do you have anything to interject here sir?

I have thought about this many times, i am a people person, and i think i would love the job, but is now a good time to invest the time in this type of job, with the market so up and down, or is this the best time to get in so your ready when the market starts climbing out?

Thank

A lot of people take the test first and then interview Brokers after that. I found the class and test to be a little tough, mostly because I hadn't been in a classroom environment for 20 years!

I could not be successful as a Realtor if I were to do it part time. That's just me and my opinion. I need to put my ALL into it. Some Realtor's love being part time, not me.

I understand your thinking Pat. Let's look at it a different way. I started almost 5 months ago. Right now I am working with at least 10 solid buyers and have 5 listings and am kicking ass and have so many other new possibilities.

I have had to work my BUTT off to create that and I am thankful that I chose to do it in a down market. If I got in when it was good I would end up like all the agents here that don't do it anymore. They were so used to things being easy that then it got tough they disappeared.

Make sense?
