Default Repairing Drywall Holes

If you have ever had a hole in your drywall then you know how much of a disaster it seems. It can make the whole room look really bad!

Drywall can only handle so much before it will bust. Kid's throwing a ball or slamming a door into it- lots of things can cause the drywall to acquire a hole. The great thing about drywall though is that it is fairly easy to fix and make it look as though a hole was never there.

I have a small hole in my bedroom on the wall from when I tried to set the television up on a dresser. It slipped and the corner punctured a hole in the wall.

I have just gotten all of the materials that I need to get it fixed so thats my next little project!

Here is a great article on how to make the repairs and a video that you can watch as well.

Alot of people are intimidated by a drywall job,It os really not that bad.You go from one stud to the other stud around the whole and cut out the sheetrock inbetween the studs.Measure the whole left and cut a new piece to fit, screw it in,put sheetrock strips around the edges, fill with mud, sand it,fill it again, sand it smooth and even with the surfaces around it.Let it dry and ready for paint.

Just be patient when sanding and filling,be sure not to put way to much mud and you eon't have to sand as much.Practive makes perfect so give it a try yourself.

I love drywall, it looks really nice in a home even though it is easily damaged at times.

I have delt with alot of drywall in my life and have helped others as well to deal with holes and even cracks that have formed.

Drywall is extremely easy to repair to the point where you cant tell that there was ever any damage to it in the first place. This is one reason why I love this stuff.
