Default Make That Small Room Feel Larger

Almost everyone enjoys larger living spaces. So what can you do when you have a rather small room? Make it feel bigger than it is. You can do this by choosing lighter wall colors, use mirrors to reflect light, arrange furniture at angles and use smaller furniture rather than over-sized bulky pieces.

My son has a very small bedroom and I am going to use some of these tips to make it feel larger. He has a bulky dresser in there and very dark panel walls. I think if we paint the walls light and do away with the big furniture it will make a big difference.

Default Make That Small Room Feel Larger

There are a lot of good ideas here. All of my rooms are too small, lol. Every room is paneled, except for the bathroom. I painted that a bright green, which does make it seem much larger. I really dislike the paneling, and would like to do away with it, or at least paint over it. My husband is not agreeable to this idea, but I am working on changing his mind, lol. Maybe these ideas will help, as I can tell him that the rooms will seem larger, if we paint the walls a lighter color. Thanks for the post!
