Default Color Combos You Can't Go Wrong With

When choosing paint colors for your rooms, whether it be in the kitchen, bedroom, living room or bathroom, it can sometimes be difficult to decide on colors that will "go together".

Follow the 60-30-10 rule when choosing a color palette. The rule goes 60% dominant color, 30% secondary color and 10% accent color.

In example, you may want to go with a tan color for the walls, add in dark brown items for the secondary color and then trim in white or a light brown.

Don't be afraid to branch out a bit. A one color room can be quite boring! Add some depth and excitement to your home by choosing the right colors.

The current house we are working on has some pretty cool color combos. On the outside the siding is sandstone, the trim is a cream color, almost a little on the yellow side, and then the front door will be a rich blue color.

The inside alll the trim, ceilings and doors are white (like always), and in the living room and bedrooms the walls are sandstone. In the kitchen though we mixed it up a bit because it was so big of an area. White cabinets, white trim and ceiling, and then the two big walls are sandstone again and the two short walls are a dark chocolate brown. Turned out awesome! Again, if I ever find out how to put up pics I will..

Default Color combos you cant go wrong with.

Color says it all when prospective buyers are looking at a prospective new home. And Jareds color combos sound really great.

Jared, pm me and let me know how you are doing your pics and I will get back to you with how to put them in. I know I told you before that I would do this but Ive been busy and had, in all honesty, forgotten that I made that promise. Sorry.

Jared the colors you chose for your flip are a great combination, not only in an of themselves, but the new owner will be able to introduce almost any color that they love in furniture, drapes, etc., and it will all still go together very nicely!! Great Job!!!

Thank you!! I will forward this information to my lovely wife and business partner...

She is the one that picks the colors.
