Default Check Discounted Items

I know that when I have seen someone flip a house, they usually replace light fixtures, faucets, cabinet handles and what not.

Though I know that these things can often be found in flea markets, yard sales and other places at some seriously discounted prices.

And the less money you put into a house while flipping it the more profit there is going to be for the flipper in the end.

I know that when I have gone to our local flea market I see all kinds of these things for sale and the prices are really cheap. I have even bought some of this stuff to update my place and I know that if house flippers did the same thing that they would save some money.

It is nice especially if you have the room at home to store this kind of stuff, because you just never know when your going to come across a great deal while shopping.

We have a flea market in our area that has bought a lot of stuff from the 84 Lumber stores that used to be in the valley. This is all brand new stuff like doors and windows etc but at a highly discounted price.

Then there is a store in a town across the river that has a lot of building supplies that are really discounted but what I dont like about this store is the fact that it isnt set up so that you can just walk in and get what you want.

For instance if you want wooden baseboard, you have to search through a whole pile in order to find matching pieces.

But since the price is certainly right, the needed search is well worth the effort.

I wonder why they don't go through things and get it all seperated so that shopping would be much easier on the customers.

I know it would be well worth the savings to dig for what you want, but at the same time it sure would suck if you went in there for something and you needed 4 and only found 3 after hours of digging and searching!!

I really don't think place like that would get my business for sure, I would rather not have to dig and search for the things I am wanting. Especially when your in the middle of a project and you discover that you need something. The very last thing that you want to do is spend time searching for what ever it is that you are in need of.

You all will love this one. I do a weekly auction for a friend of mine and he buy's tractor and trailer loads of discontinued items from K Mart. I have more commod seats than Wal Mart does, I could be on the T.V show Hoarders, but it is all good stuff and usually at a third or less of retail. It really saves me a lot of money on my flips. My friends will call me when they need something for around the house, because they know I usually have it if I can find it.
