Default Wind Powered Schools

A school district in North Olmsted, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland, is planning to use wind power to save on electricity bills.

The plan is to build a 150 foot high tower, and turbine at a cost of about $850,000 that will produce about one half of the total electricity the schools use for the middle and high schools. It's predicted that the schools could save about $600,000 over a 20 year period.

I agree with you. Even if wind power isn't an option, solar panels could be used to power the buildings and save a lot of money over the years. This would certainly help the taxpayers too.

That just seems like a lot of money to pay for just two schools and they money saved over twenty years doesn't even cover the expense of installing it. Wow but it is a brilliant idea.
