Default What does it mean to go green?

Going green means that you are taking an active role in lessing your personal impact on our environment. I love the idea of leaving behind
a world that is healthier for my grandchildren than the one they were
born into.

I watched a television show the other day that left me totally upset.
The show was about our impact on the ocean and its animals. The people
in the show were in the harbor of a major city removing trash. Most of the trash was plastic.

Later in the show the were collecting samples of water from different depths in the open ocean. The samples were contaminated with plastic
particles at all depths. These particles kill the planktin that the whales
eat.

I can also imagine that it is harming the whales themselves. We must
move toward a nation wide recycling plan. There really is no longer time
to wait. Once the oceans are polluted and the whales are gone how do we replace either.

I agree with you. It is time that everyone begins doing their part to make our world a better, heathier place for the future.

It is not hard to recycle and do things that will leave the earth a better place. I think many people hear the words "go green" and they just really don't understand it and don't do research on it. I think the best way to go green is to start slowly. Little by little do more things that are earth friendly and before you know it you will make a real impact on the enviroment.
