Motion sensor lighting for outside of you home can be a real energy saver as they only come on when they detect motion within a certain area.

We have a motion sensor light over our basement doorway as it is in a very dark area and finding the lock to unlock the door could be very difficult after dark. After putting in the motion sensor light, we had no more problems getting in that door.

One thing you do have to keep in mind is that if the electric goes off, the light sometimes comes on when the electricity is restored, and stays on.

In this case, all you have to do is turn off the inside switch for about 5 seconds and then turn it back on to reset the light.
