Default Straw houses.

Ever think of living in a house made of straw? This would be the optimal way of going green.

Straw packed into the walls of a home help keep it warm in the winter and cool in the summer and is actually very safe.

Plus, straw is what is left over from harvesting grain and would normally be burned, so using straw is as I said an ultimate way to go green and it helps our ecology.

This is the first I've heard of stuffing the walls with straw but it is a great idea. When I first read your title "Straw Houses" I thought to my self no way... the big bad wolf will blow my house down rofl!

Thats a great idea though and I bet it's just as good if not better than insulation.

I have never heard of that either. but staw protects flowers in the winter so makes sense to think it would insulate a house.

Very interesting info.
