Default Storing Melted Snow

I know I have mentioned before about a friend of mine who though the winter collects snow, melts it down and stores it in plastic containers in her basement to use during the spring and summer for her house plants and her gardens outside.

On last count she had a total of 97 gallons of snow stored in her basement. This was before the latest snow fall we had. Now she has around 110, then she ran out of jugs to store the melted snow in. She has asked friends and family to save water jugs and milk jugs for her because she is trying to get as much as possible stored so that she won't have a need to use any tap water on her plants this year.

Granted she has a huge basement and said she even has room in the garage if she needs it to store water. So she is saving water by melting the snow and she won't be adding chemicals to her plants, plus she is reusing unwanted jugs from the land fill by reusing them.

If I had the storage room I would do the same thing!!
