Default Reduce and reuse.

In order to lessen our impact on our environment we have to retrain ourselves. We need to rethink the way we do everything. When purchasing forrd we need to take packaging into consideration.

Cans may be convienent but the don't break down easily. If you burn your trash they are one of the few things left when everything else has burned up.

Buying in larger packages and then dividing them into reusable containers makes less waste. You have made an impact or less of one. I look for plastic containers instead of glass ones. The glass is so hard to get rid of.

If you have to buy glass buy bigger containers so that you can reuse it for something else. I buy bulk pickles and then wash the jars and use them to store things like flour, cereals and sugar.

It's a good idea to reuse containers whenever possible. This can really lessen the amount of waste that is taken to our landfills.

Once we begin thinking "green" it gets easier and easier to automatically pick up the more environmentally safe packaging too. We just need to start small and take it one step at a time - before we know it we're "going green".

The only problem with going green is that many times it will cost you more to do so. Thats what I have a hard time dealing with right now. Can goods are cheaper to buy than fresh. So on and so on. I would love to go totally green but I don't have enough greenbacks right now lol.
