Default Recycling Garbage

In a few places that I have lived it was required for us to separate things like papers, glass, plastics and so on. This had to be done or the trash would not be picked up and you would receive a fine.

Now I also know that those places are few and far between though it is a great idea and a great way to make sure that people are recycling as much as possible.

This is something that the area I am living in now does not do, though I am attempting to get that changed, and I think that more people should try to get this changed in their areas as well.

Just think of how much recyclable material we all could keep out of our landfills if these things had to be separated before they went out to the trash????

That would help out with the whole going green plan a great deal. Its not that hard to recycle and its something that we all need to do, though why areas aren't enforcing it I don't know, but they sure should be.

We get to recycle plastics here but sadly they say glass is too expensive to recycle so it just goes in normal trash as does papers

In my town we have a huge dumpster that is seperated by dividers. Each section is labeled such as cans, plastic and so on. The best thing about it is it's free to use. You just have to put your items in the right sections and thats it! Every town needs these. Then maybe we wouldn't have so much trash laying around everywhere!

We have a free dump site that had different containers for each different type of recyclable that you bring up there.

This is a good thing and more people need to use them, they think that it is to much trouble to separate their trash.

I have a burn barrel out back and I burn everything that is burnable and then I take the rest to the recycling center.

I wish my town would get onboard with recycling this way. I really like helping the enviroment but I am afraid that such a small town just really does not care.

We also dont have the option of putting recyclables at the curb, but just recently I was informed that at a place very close to our home, we can take our recyclables for free.

We just have to separate everything and take them to the little recycling building and leave them.

Recycling is great because for one thing, some garbage companies have a limit on how many sacks of garbage you can put out at one time. By recycling, it will help cut down on the amount of bags we put out for collection each week.

Plus it will help the planet and also help cut down on the cost of production of new products. Its really a win-win situation.

Anytime that you recycle it is a win, win situation. You win because you feel great about helping the planet and then of course the planet wins because there is less trash being left to pollute it.
