Default Locals concerned over proposed windfarm.

As I was reading the online version of my local newspaper, which by the way is a small effort at saving the environment,I ran into an article about a proposed windfarm.

Quote:

The possibility of a large wind farm being developed within the township has drawn heated criticism and concern over the past few months from area residents.
Most of the questions raised during the meeting centered on the health effects of wind turbines on humans and animals. The impact the turbines could have on property values and the possible disruption of the idyllic nature of the area that has attracted a number of retirees to the township’s lakes were also issues.
I understand the concerns as people really don't know much about this new technology. You should do a little research online to find out this sort of information and perhaps if your a social network fan ask some of your friends if they live close to one.
Getting up in arms before you are armed with information just doesn't seem right. We have to prepare for new things and this is one of them. It is one that is designed to use nature not destroy it.

That is just it, people would rather get all upset and mad about something rather than learn about it first.

I guess it is much easier to do that than it is to do some research. Though it took me just under on my slow computer to pull up this information on wind turbine farms in the link below.

Wind Turbines

So if people were willing to do some research BEFORE jumping to conclusions and getting upset about stuff things in this world would be much better.

Now as for the affects these wind turbines can have on foods, pets and people well there are oodles of reading to do on that one and once again it only takes a minute to find articles to read on the subject.

I will never understand why people are so quick to get upset over something they don't have any knowledge of what so ever. Maybe some day people will change but I doubt it.
